Trade-a-Tree Program

Did you ever dream that the tree you planted eight years ago would grow to the size it is
Today? You thought the tree was planted at a safe distance from the power lines, but
Mother Nature has taken over. Your problem is also a big concern to Hickman-Fulton
Co. RECC.

Hickman-Fulton Co. RECC offers a "Trade-a-Tree Program to our members. Hickman-Fulton will cut down any tree that has grown into the distribution power lines (does not
Include secondary or service line to home). We will also dispose of the cut down portion
Of the tree. Once the tree removal is complete, Hickman-Fulton RECC will donate a
Tree of choice to the property owner.

Guidelines:

  1. The member must contact our office so a work order can be completed. We will send someone to inspect the tree and line to verify that it qualifies for the
    Program.

  2. We will provide one donated tree for each tree cut.

  3. After the inspection, the member will be asked to sign a form requesting
Hickman-Fulton RECC to remove the tree.

  4. The replacement tree can be planted in the general vicinity of the tree that was
cut as long as it is not under a power line.

  5. The tree will be guaranteed to be alive and produce leaves the spring after
planting provided the tree has been cared for properly. The tree then becomes
    the responsibility of the member.

  6. Contact our office at 236-2521 or 1-800-633-1391 or email at hfrecc@bellsouth.net.
