College Scholarship Program

The Scholarships
Hickman-Fulton RECC’s college scholarship program is designed to assist in the financing of higher education for children of its members.
Three college scholarships, in the amount of $500 each, are given annually. They may be used at any accredited university or community college and for any course of study in the curriculum. Scholarships are awarded at the beginning of the school year. Funds are paid directly to the recipient’s university or community college.
Eligibility
Applicants must be high school seniors who plan to enroll in a full-time course of study (12 hours per semester) at an accredited university or community college no later than the fall of the year in which the scholarship is given.
The applicant’s primary residence must be in the cooperative service area, and the applicant’s parent/guardian must be a member of Hickman-Fulton Counties RECC.
Applicants must have either a 3.0 grade point average or higher (on a 4.0 scale) and/or an ACT test score of 18 or higher.

Information to be included with this application
High school seniors wishing to compete for scholarships must complete the application form. Applicants must submit along with their application the following:
· A brief, typed narrative stating the reason for applying for this scholarship, including special needs (financial or otherwise) and the applicant’s plans for the future;
· A complete transcript of school courses and grades to date;
· A photo of yourself and a brief write-up of your involvement and accomplishments.
Note: Applications for scholarships will not be accepted unless all required materials are submitted
