August 25, 2014 - Hickman-Fulton Counties RECC was pleased to host the Change for The Community committee
so they could present the first donations to area charitable organizaitons. The Community gave a total of
$10,000.00 in donations to seven organizations. Each organization received $1,500.00. The receipients were:
Carlisle County Senior Citizens, Hickman County Senior Citizens, Fulton County Senior Citizens, The Mission House, Clinton, KY, ARK, Hickman, KY, the Fulton County Rescue Squad and the Hickman County Rescue Squad.
Applications will be accepted through January 20, 2015 for the next selection of recipients.
August 11, 2014 - Hickman-Fulton Counties RECC invited Emergency First Responders and farmers to attend a Safety Awareness Meeting. During the meeting, Kendall Bush and Robert Thornton, Safety Instructors with the Kentucky
Association of Electric Cooperatives stressed scene assessment, maintaining a safe distance from downed lines and the importance of contacting the utility company as soon as possible when a wire is down. A high voltage demonstration by KAEC further demonstrated the dangers of electrical equipment.
